2009 Ruthies Award WinnerVoted Murfreesboro’s “Favorite Annual Event” in 2009 by readers of The Daily News Journal, “The Middle Half” is anticipated by runners and fans alike. In just 4 years, the race has doubled in size to become one of the top half marathons in Tennessee, winning the Tennessee Parks & Recreation Four Star Program Award in 2008.

With the flat, fast course, it’s no wonder that seven state road running records have been broken here.

The 13.1 mile course has you running up and down tree-lined Main Street, past historic Oaklands Mansion, and circling the Downtown Square. After passing Middle Tennessee State University’s Fraternity Row and the official geographic center of Tennessee, you’ll finish the race in style at MTSU’s Track and Soccer Stadium.
